From a FB poster:
Regarding the termination, of employees from the United States Forest (USFS).
Service, Bureau of Land Management (BLM),
And other alphabet-soup government agencies.
Do I believe that some good employees were terminated?
Yes I do.
Do I believe it was the correct decision?
Yes I do.
I have watched, over my short 58 years, how government agencies gained power over the public, that they were tasked with serving, because they thought they were above the public, untouchable, and had nothing to fear from the people they were hired to serve.
I’ve read the stories, of people who were terminated from their “dream job”……
Guess what, the American people have been eliminated from their dream jobs by the alphabet soup agencies for decades now.
Logging communities? Destroyed.
Ranching communities? Destroyed.
Farming communities? Destroyed.
Outdoor recreation? Destroyed.
Fishing industry? Destroyed.
Trucking industry? Destroyed.
And, with each public industry destroyed, the alphabet government agencies grew.
More employees are needed, to keep the public in line.
Yes, good people were terminated….
And we are seeing the upper management either resigning or scrambling to cover their asses.
Those same folks who now complain about losing their “dream job”, stayed silent, while they knew of the waste……because that government check was guaranteed.
The common denominator, in the pity stories I read from terminated employees, is “It Is The Fault” of upper management……but they never raised that concern, when they had a paycheck guarantee…
I’m sorry that some good people were terminated. But, if they have a skill, it should be no problem, to transition into the private sector….you know, hire the people they were supposed to serve in the first place.
Why would anyone, assume their job is untouchable?
Because they worked a government job…..
Yes, I have empathy for some good people who are being terminated.
I wonder if those government employees had empathy, for the American producers they put out of work…..”just doing their job”….
