{"id":99,"date":"2016-08-10T11:54:00","date_gmt":"2016-08-10T11:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/americaschallenges.wordpress.com\/?p=99"},"modified":"2016-08-10T11:54:00","modified_gmt":"2016-08-10T11:54:00","slug":"standing-up-for-trump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendreger.com\/?p=99","title":{"rendered":"Standing up for Trump"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Donald Trump as well as his fellow Republicans have been often accused of having no tolerance for the Blacks nor the Jews- basically they were racists. <\/p>\n<p>Even though Trump shows an array of people of different race and background actively supporting him and working for him, the media cannot get enough in blaming him for things he did not do. <\/p>\n<p>Now, new information about his so-called discriminatory and racist nature are surfacing. <\/p>\n<p><em>In 1997, Trump defied societal conventions when he purchased his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida and converted it into a private club.<\/em> <\/p>\n<p><em>Prior to Trump\u2019s arrival, other clubs in the Pam Beach area \u201chad long barred Jews and African Americans \u2014 which is to say they practiced a quiet but steely racism,\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/spectator.org\/64643_when-trump-fought-racists\/\">wrote<\/a>Jeffrey Lord on The American Spectator.<\/em> <\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHe put the light on Palm Beach,\u201d said Abe Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League. \u201cNot on the beauty and the glitter, but on its seamier side of discrimination. It has an impact.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n<p><ins><ins><ins><\/ins><\/ins><\/ins> <\/p>\n<p><em>Trump went further, asking the town council to lift the existing restrictions on the club, and sending them a copy of, \u201cGuess Who\u2019s Coming To Dinner,\u201d a film whose characters defy the race-based discrimination of the day.<\/em> <\/p>\n<p><em>The town council would not budge, leading Trump to file a $100 million lawsuit alleging the town was \u201cdiscriminating against Mar-a-Lago, in part because it is open to Jews and African Americans,\u201d reported The American Spectator.<\/em> <\/p>\n<p><em>The incident was profiled in a 1997 Wall Street Journal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/SB862335923489989500\">piece<\/a> that discussed Trump\u2019s clash with Palm Beach. Eventually, Palm Beach put an end to their discriminatory restrictions.<\/em> <\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn other words, long before he was running for president, there was Donald Trump battling racism and anti-Semitism in Palm Beach society. Using every tool at his disposal,\u201d wrote <a href=\"http:\/\/spectator.org\/64643_when-trump-fought-racists\/\">Lord<\/a>.<\/em> <\/p>\n<p><em>He continued, \u201cIn today\u2019s world the Left demands racial quotas and supports illegal immigration. What all of these things have in common is that they are designed to divide Americans by race, to divide by skin color.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n<p><em>Lord said Trump\u2019s actions show the falsehood in the accusations of racism leveled against him.<\/em> <\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe good news here that in Donald Trump someone \u2014 finally \u2014 is standing up to fight back.
